This fall Tara began her seventh year as Hidden Valley Preschool’s afternoon teacher. Her positive energy and love for our preschoolers shines the minute she walks through the door each day. Tara keeps the children inspired through creative art projects and motivated with her clever incentives. She is truly a natural with the preschoolers and with their parents.

Prior to Hidden Valley, Tara spent 7 years as the manager of TJ Maxx, having received her associates degree in retail management. After volunteering in her own daughter’s preschool, Tara quickly rediscovered her gift for working with children. Luckily for us, she made a career change and decided she preferred to “manage” our little people instead. Following this passion for teaching, Tara is now enrolled at University of Wisconsin – Superior, earning a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education.

Her previous experience in this area includes working as a summer nanny, assisting at a daycare, and raising her children. Tara loves spending quality time with her kids, Dominik (14), Alexa (11), and Amaya (5), doing arts and crafts, reading, family bike rides, playing at the park or just watching movies together. Tara also prides herself on being a dance/gymnastics/soccer mom! Her favorite winter activity is going to Bulldog hockey games.

Hidden Valley has been a great fit for Tara. “I think doing what you love is important, and my passion is to teach young children. I look forward to coming to work every day to see the kids’ smiling faces. Preschoolers say the best things!”
